Ideal! Beautiful! Outstanding! Very special for families. As we said before, St. Rémy de Provence is "...between the mountains and the sea." There is always something interesting going on. Need we say more? Just 20kms/13 miles south of Avignon in the Rhone Valley, we are about 45 minutes by automobile to the closest Mediterranean beaches and about 10 minutes to hiking, biking and spelunking in the Alpilles mountain range . There are many ways to get here, including the A7 motorway, the TGV rail service to Avignon (now with direct, high-speed rail service from Paris, the UK and Benelux+Germany), and by air to Marseille or Nîmes, both of which are about 1 hour away by automobile. There are rental cars available at any of these arrival points; and we would be happy to pick you and your family up at the central transport (rail or bus) centre in Avignon. ->map of Saint-Rémy |
