La Tour de la Girouette is on two
levels, in a house built in three major times in history. How do we
know? Well, when we took down the old ceilings and layers of paint,
we discovered 8-metre long beams carved by "Emil" (1632),
"Charles" (1721) and (young) "Marius" (1907), those
brave men who built the first structures over the course of nearly 4
centuries.
A major portion of "La Tour" is air conditioned for summer
comfort. There is one upstairs double bedroom with private shower and
WC. On the main floor, we can accomodate up an additional 6 people in
a bunk room, with private shower and WC. In addition, there is another,
double bedroom with jacuzzi bath and WC, plus a panoramic terrace and
fireplace.
In the large family living area, you will find a full and modern kitchen
with double freezer, washer+dryer combo, dishwasher, cable TV and computer
access, plus comfortable social area with still another fireplace. Then,
just step out onto the terrace, which faces the Alpilles and just R-E-L-A-X.
You're on holiday here in St. Rémy de Provence.
